For over 15 years, we've been developing a proprietary system for managing our uniform business. Our system enables us to manage websites, orders, uniform allowances, customer artwork, purchasing, production, and more. Every facet of our growing uniform business.  After spending tens of thousands of dollars on different industry solutions we were severely disappointed in the day-to-day results.  Either the interface was not intuitive, or not user friendly. Canned solutions may manage orders or artwork, but not websites. Managing uniform allowances for our customers employees would require additional “stand alone” software which meant double entry of data and managing multiple systems. Systems were limited by solutions designed to charge the users (us) incrementally for every additional feature. I found the standard answer to my questions of those companies, “of course we can do that, for a price”, or “yes, we’ll see when we can work that into our schedule”.

 

With the help of a skilled programmer we took a leap of faith, and he began coding our in-house solution. You may have heard the expression “If it was easy, anyone could do it”. Certainly, this applies to programming. I know there are tools available today to simplify building websites but managing and updating thousands of products across hundreds of websites, and thousands of customers and embroideries is no easy task.

 

We’ve invested heavily in our system.  I realized years ago that this is a journey, not a destination.  We are constantly making changes and modifications to ensure process improvement.  What we have today is a solution that is unique in our industry and is highly desired by customers and competitors alike. We never intended to sell our software as a stand-alone product. Perhaps this was shortsighted on our part, but our support is for our uniform programs, not software customers.
