Review of Snag-Proof Tactical Performance Polo Style CS410
Snag-Proof Tactical Performance Polo Manufacturer Style # CS410
This tactical performance polo shirt has it all, at a more than reasonable price. The most outstanding features in my opinion are the snag-proof fabric and the garment construction. Yes, this is back to basics where most good products start off.
The fabric, weighing at 6.6 oz per square yard, is relatively heavy for a performance polyester shirt. However, the smooth finish on this fabric gives it somewhat of a luxury feel in spite of the weight. Combine that with the fact that this is a snag-proof fabric and you have one solid performance polo shirt. Because it is 100% polyester, there is never an issue of color loss.
Tough and comfort don’t always align in uniform apparel, but they do in this shirt. I’ve always been a fan of raglan sleeves for ease of movement, and this shirt features sewn-in side panels too. These two features combined make for a great fit in a shirt designed to move with the worker. That explains why almost every employee in every program where we utilize this shirt has a favorable opinion. You will find this shirt in many corporate uniform programs, not only because of the comfort but also due to the outstanding price and availability up to size 4XL.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the cool features besides fit that make this worthy to be called a tactical polo. It has the mic(rophone) clips in the raglan shoulder seams on both sides, as well as a clip at the bottom of the placket opening. This opening can be used for a mic or more likely to hold your Ray Bans. The most used feature is probably the dual pen pocket on the left sleeve. This pocket is especially important to the wearer actively writing reports during their shift. I have found it easy to forget your pen in this pocket, and it doesn’t launder any better with a pen in the pocket than any other shirt we sell.
From our perspective, the crowning accomplishment is how well this shirt embroiders. First responders, who are the primary prospects for this shirt, often have large, dense, logo embroidery that can be difficult on some lightweight fabrics. This beefy material shows off logo embroidery exceptionally well.
The only downside we have found is the ability of this fabric to retain some graphics, most likely due to the wicking finish. We often decorate with digital transfers with reflective media or large back transfers. In our wash tests we have not had any problems with the transfers, but in our real world of customer use, more than one customer has had issues with the transfers coming off after repeated laundering. Because of that, we no longer offer transfers on this product.
Overall, this is a superior uniform product. There are a women’s counterpart and a long sleeve version as well. I find it fits and wears exceptionally well, but more importantly we have thousands of satisfied customers wearing this performance polo shirt.
